When Julian (3D artist and coffee lover, 31) and Anna (scientist and green enthusiast, 29), both originally from Germany, moved their plants, they didn't really expect much.
Finch Buildings has put together a new management team. Susanne Vruwink (Head of Operations), Timo Broersen (Head of Projects and R&D), and Tiejo Keppler (Head of Sales) form the management team together with founder Jurrian Knijtijzer and are jointly responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization.
Petra van Veelen joined Finch Buildings as a business developer in January 2026. And we are very happy about that! With her extensive experience in project development, acquisition, and international collaborations, she strengthens Finch's commercial and strategic team.
With the installation of the last solid wood module, Project Pasteur has reached its highest point. This is an important milestone for Haarlem's largest timber construction project. The project comprises 179 homes and the new office of housing association Elan Wonen. Of these homes, 155 are timber constructions and 24 are traditional concrete constructions. The project is now entering its next phase.
Together with LEVS architects, Prosper Vitae, TU Delft, and the municipality of Amstelveen, Finch Buildings contributed to the publication Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods, a case study analysis of the CO₂ impact of different construction methods in the urban development of Nieuw-Legmeer.
Our colleague Susanne Vruwink, employed at Finch Buildings since 2020, can now officially call herself an architect. Besides her job and a young family, she successfully completed her education at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam.
