Finch Buildings

Finch Buildings is working on a future in which buildings are a solution to the climate problem. Buildings that have been developed in a modular way and can adapt to different environments and circumstances.

FinchBuildings Project in Leiden Background

Finch Buildings envisions a world in which buildings contribute to solving the climate problem. With Finch Buildings, sustainable living should become available to everyone. Reducing the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere, thereby contributing to the restoration of the planet's balance. Only then will we be able to make the greatest possible impact.

We make permanent buildings from wood which have the lowest possible CO2 'footprint' in both production and use. We do this without compromising on design.

Charles Darwin discovered several types of finches on the Galapagos Islands, all showing large similarities, yet also being different from each other. The similarity of the finches with the Finch modules is threefold: the finches have adapted to the location (in real estate this refers to integration), the available food (the function of the building) and in addition, they are mobile (what compares with the portability of our modules).
