Meet Tiejo Keppler

Since March 2025, Tiejo Keppler has joined Finch Buildings in the role of Sales & Business Development. With his broad experience in the construction industry and a personal connection to timber construction, he is a perfect fit for our mission and approach.

Tiejo's background is special: on his mother's side, he descends from a family that was active in timber construction and production (Fa. Jongeneel), and his great-grandfather on his father's side - A. Keppler - was a pioneer in social housing construction as a former director of the housing service in Amsterdam. "Finch brings both my bloodlines together: timber construction AND social housing. It almost feels like it was meant to be."

With experience on both the contractor, developer and consultant side, Tiejo knows the development and construction process inside and out. He also previously worked at other modular (timber) builders and knows better than anyone that modular construction is a profession in its own right. "It requires a different approach, but one that works with the traditional process rather than against it. Finch is one of the few parties that knows how to strike this delicate balance."

So Tiejo is enthusiastic about Finch as a company as well as our vision: "The complete conviction of wood construction and the understanding that engineering and design are the starting point of everything we do make Finch a company after my own heart."

The challenges in the industry are great, Tiejo knows: "The construction and real estate industry is inherently traditional and conservative - not out of unwillingness, but because change is extremely difficult in an industry that revolves around intensive resource use, heavy materials, lots of labor and complex timelines. Only extreme necessity can force us to change." And that necessity is there: climate change and a housing crisis that demand new solutions.

Finch offers those solutions. By building with wood, we significantly reduce and offset CO₂ emissions. Together with our partners, we accelerate the construction of sustainable, modular homes in which residents can thrive. "I am grateful to be able to contribute to this. At Finch, we build in a way that feels as natural as traditional construction, but with wood. This is how we make wood construction the norm."

With over 1,100 modules installed in the past 10 years, the ambition is clear: "My goal is to put at least a zero behind - 11,000 modules - within the next 10 years!"

Going to do it, Tiejo! Welcome to Finch!
