Another 2 weeks ago, the beautiful wood construction project in Monnickendam delivered. The residents have since moved in and the building is already starting to really come to life. Just before completion, the Video Heroes were able to capture some more great images for a virtual tour of the building.

About the largest solid wood residential building M'DAM (2021)

Together with De Groot Vroomshoop, BMB development and Wooncompagnie, we started the construction of M'DAM in February 2021 which was completed 9 months later! The M'DAM project consists of: 62 apartments for social buy, social rent and free sector buy with user surfaces of 50, 65 and 76 and 110 m2. The building is energy-neutral and is modular with 106 modules of solid wood.

What makes this project so special is that at the time of writing, December 2021. M'DAM is the largest solid wood residential building in the Netherlands. With a GFA of 5,320m2 a large project which has avoided emissions in addition to saving CO2. In total, this building has saved 2,584 tons of CO2.
