Our De Oversteek (flex living) housing project in Oosterenk has been awarded the European Responsible Housing Awards 2025!

In the category "One step further for safe and carefree living" we came second. A wonderful international recognition for this special project and for the work we did here together with you.

Why The Crossing fell in the awards
De Oversteek shows how circular timber construction, social inclusion and cooperation between the municipality, developing and executing parties, care organizations and residents come together in a unique housing concept. Not only the houses make this project special, but especially the people who live there and care for each other.

A community that makes a difference

"This award shows how important our work is, but the real winners are our tenants. Young people with support needs or gender diversity find a safe place here. Status holders get a chance to truly integrate - thanks to engaged fellow residents who are simply there."  

Inspiration for the future

On Thursday, June 5, the awards ceremony took place in Dublin, during the International Social Housing Festival.

We hope that this international attention will contribute to more such projects - both within and outside our area of operations.
