The construction of Project Pasteur is running at full speed. And it is happening in two places at once: in the factory and on the construction site.
At the factory of MAAT Feeling Home The durable wooden modules of Finch Buildings produced with extreme precision. Walls, floors, ceilings - everything comes together to form a completely finished module, including installations.
The units will then be transported to Haarlem, where HBB Group hoisting them into place smoothly and efficiently. Eight modules a day - that's pacing!
Project Pasteur, a design by FARO architects, will soon have 179 new rental units, of which 155 will be social rentals and 24 middle rentals. Also, client Elan Living there will be a new office and home improvement store.
The first floor is traditionally built; on top, a total of 322 wooden modules are stacked. The result? Sustainable, comfortable homes with minimal construction time and a modest footprint.
"Cooperation on the construction site and factory is excellent," says Ruurd Potma, project manager at HBB Group. "Because the modules are fully prepared in the factory, we can install them quickly and precisely. This way we work efficiently and with minimal inconvenience to the surroundings."
Also Elan Living is enthusiastic about the construction process: "Nice to see how fast and tight it goes," says John Weijers, project manager at Elan Wonen. "For us as a corporation, this is the first project in timber construction. Thanks to factory prefabricated construction, we achieve a high and consistent quality that is not always achievable with traditional construction."

We continue full of energy - together with all the partners who make this project possible.
