'SAMPLE' comes to Amsterdam North: an unusual and circular entry for the tender for Kavel 19 by the Municipality of Amsterdam.
Finch Buildings' modular wood building system was selected by developer KondorWessels to work with designers Space&Matter, Mecanoo and ZUS to design three building blocks where solid wood plays a central role.
Part of the plan includes 357 free sector owner-occupied housing units, mid-rent housing units and social housing units. In addition, a circular hub and a productivity plot are part of the concept.
A beautiful project in which we worked closely with the project architects to demonstrate the possibilities and flexibility of modular timber construction. Extra special for Finch Buildings because this is our second wooden residential building in Amsterdam's Buiksloterham
is going to be.
