Since February 2025, Finch director Jurrian Knijtijzer has been part of the administrative core group of the Covenant on Future-Proof Building. The core group steers the development and implementation of this national covenant, which aims to make the built environment in the Netherlands structurally future-proof. Jurrian's main focus is on financing models and he tests the ambitions of Futureproof Construction against daily reality.

Jurrian brings his expertise in the field of modular timber construction and as co-founder of Houtivation - a partnership of innovative timber builders. He is also involved in the NEN committee on fire safety in timber buildings and a study on acoustics within timber construction.

"I see it as an opportunity to contribute at the administrative level to further develop the covenant, as an organization and as a platform for the future for the built environment of the Netherlands," Jurrian said.
